The Spazmatics are an electrifying tribute band hailing from Chicago, renowned for reviving the vibrant spirit of the 1980s through their unique performances. Founded as a humorous response to a high school debate, the band members embody a playful fusion of geek culture and musical talent, seamlessly blending nostalgia with exceptional artistry. Their lineup includes Professor Melvin Stigwood on vocals, Eugene MeeGene on electronic beats, Gilbert on bass, and Clarke on guitar, each contributing to their signature sound infused with 80s pop and rock classics.
The Spazmatics deliver high-energy shows packed with iconic songs, sharp choreography, and a visual aesthetic that features skinny ties, retro hairstyles, and horn-rimmed glasses. From She Blinded Me With Science to Working for the Weekend, their performances capture the essence of an era that many love to remember, all while ensuring a fun and dynamic atmosphere for audiences. Whether at local clubs or larger venues like Mystic Lake Casino, the Spazmatics guarantee an unforgettable night of entertainment that leaves everyone wanting more.
