The Sociedade Portuguesa da Contraceção (SPDC), or Portuguese Society of Contraception, is a Portuguese organization focused on contraception and related sexual and reproductive health topics. Its website serves healthcare professionals, members and the public by bringing together information, educational resources and updates about the society’s work. Visitors can find guidance for users on contraception and voluntary interruption of pregnancy, alongside materials on emergency contraception and pregnancy termination. The site also provides legislation, publications, multimedia resources and documentation, as well as details about membership, the society’s governing bodies and its internal regulations.

The SPDC promotes professional exchange through events including its annual meeting, courses and conferences, and highlights initiatives such as the World Contraception Day, Safe Abortion Day and a contraception award. Its news section features announcements, calls for research submissions, surveys and position papers concerning contraception and sexual and reproductive health and rights. The society also lists working groups, affiliations and useful links. Based in Coimbra, the SPDC offers a contact email for enquiries and further information.
