SPE Emergenze

Squadra Psicosociale per le Emergenze (SPE) is a volunteer association focused on psychosocial support and civil protection. It responds to natural and human-caused disasters, assisting affected communities as well as volunteers involved in rescue efforts. Its work also covers missing and disappeared persons: SPE conducts missing-person profiling and supports families while they wait for news, through reunification or discovery, and during bereavement. The association coordinates these activities with law enforcement and volunteers from other organisations.

Training is another important part of SPE’s work. It offers learning opportunities for volunteers, people interested in volunteering, and anyone wishing to explore topics connected with its activities. SPE also takes part in public events and initiatives that promote safety, provide information, and raise awareness. Its services include support for teams after significant events, prevention-focused training, and activities for community groups. The association has also been active at the AREU emergency call centre during the coronavirus emergency.
