Special Connections NOLA

Special Connections is a day program serving adults with special needs in the greater New Orleans area. Its mission is to provide a safe, stimulating environment that recognizes the individual challenges of its Members while encouraging positive attitudes about their abilities. The program brings Members together for peer social interaction, skill development, recreational activities, and appropriate engagement in the community. These offerings are designed to support growth, connection, and participation in a welcoming setting.

Special Connections also provides respite for parents and guardians of adult children who live at home, offering families support alongside its programming for Members. The organization invites community members to learn about its program, get in touch, and support its work through donations or by becoming a Special Friend. Through its focus on meaningful activities, social connection, and family respite, Special Connections aims to help adults with special needs build skills and take part in community life.
