About Initiative for National Growth
The Special Needs Initiative for Growth (INGA) is a non-governmental organization based in Nigeria that aims to create awareness and provide capacity-based training for persons with disabilities. Their mission is to empower individuals with disabilities by promoting education, human rights, health approaches, and career development. By leveraging education technology, rehabilitative technologies, policy, advocacy, mentorship, capacity building, health support services, and entrepreneurship, INGA strives to improve the social and economic well-being of persons with disabilities in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.
They focus on inclusive education, health management, social disability advocacy, career development, disability awareness, and entrepreneurship. INGA also collaborates with government agencies to develop and implement strategies that support and defend the rights of persons with disabilities. Through their initiatives, INGA is working towards reducing inequalities and providing equal employment opportunities, in alignment with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 8.
Led by Racheal Inegbedion and a dedicated team, INGA is committed to connecting persons with disabilities to the appropriate socio-economic services and promoting inclusivity in society
