Spector is an online Instagram downloader designed to help users save public videos, photos, Reels, Stories, highlights, IGTV content and carousel items. The browser-based service works on smartphones, tablets and computers, and is compatible with browsers including Chrome, Safari and Firefox. Users copy a link to Instagram content, paste it into Spector’s download tool and select the file they want to save. For posts containing multiple items, they can choose a specific image or video.

Spector says its downloads retain the original resolution and audio, with support for high-definition and 4K files. The service is presented as free and unlimited, with no account, login, password or software installation required. Its tools include separate download options for Instagram videos, photos, Stories, Reels and highlights. Spector also emphasizes user privacy and asks people to download only public content they have permission to save, while respecting creators’ rights and Instagram’s terms of service. The site states that Spector is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
