Spectron Laboratory Services is a Gauteng-based small enterprise established in 2014 to help businesses that lack the resources or expertise to operate an in-house laboratory. Initially focused on analysing dross from aluminium manufacturing, the company has expanded its work in response to industry needs and investment in additional analytical equipment. It supports clients with high-quality, cost-effective testing and timely results, drawing on a network of scientific and industry expertise to address specific analytical challenges.

Services include sample crushing and splitting, milling to 85% below 75 micrometres, drying of samples under two kilograms at 105°C, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and titration testing. Spectron also provides analytical consulting and works with a range of sample types. Its testing follows stated methods, laboratory policies, procedures and client requirements. A quality system based on ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 concepts guides its work, with any issues that could affect result validity communicated to clients.
