Speech Mum is an independent children’s speech and language therapy service based in Chorley, Lancashire. Founded in March 2020 by Hayley Webster, the practice supports babies and children aged 0 to 19 with speech, language and feeding needs. Hayley is an experienced Speech and Language Therapist who qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Sciences in 2008 and has worked in a range of NHS roles across the country. She is HCPC registered and a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and ASLTIP.
Speech Mum provides assessment and therapy, working closely with families so parents can take part in the process and feel confident about the outcome. Visits can be arranged at a child’s home, school or nursery, helping families fit practical speech and language activities into everyday life. The service is shaped around the needs of each child and family, with Hayley’s experience as a parent informing her understanding of family life. Speech Mum also offers information through its blog and free resources.
