Speech Stepping Stones

Speech Stepping Stones, LLC provides private pediatric speech therapy in Midlothian, Virginia, supporting children and families through individualized care. Services are offered in a child’s home, daycare, preschool, school, or the practice’s in-home therapy space, depending on the child’s needs and the setting’s suitability. Therapy may complement or continue services a child receives elsewhere, including support for goals that remain important at home or after school-based services end.

The practice is led by Melissa Badon, M.S., CCC-SLP, a Virginia-licensed speech-language pathologist with more than 16 years of experience across private practice, healthcare, early childhood, school, home, and long-term care settings. Her areas of experience include speech sounds, language, social communication, voice, cognition, augmentative and alternative communication, and feeding and swallowing, with expertise in speech sound disorders.

Speech Stepping Stones recommends consulting a pediatrician and obtaining a full speech and language evaluation before beginning services. It does not formally evaluate children to diagnose disorders or disabilities.
