Speedcarving Meisterschaft

The Deutsche Speedcarving Meisterschaft promotes and organizes competitive chainsaw carving in Germany, bringing together art, athletic skill, and precision. Known as the “Formula 1 of chainsaw artists,” speedcarving challenges artists to create wooden sculptures within a set time, typically using chainsaws fitted with specialist carving bars, alongside milling and sanding tools. Competition rounds generally last between 30 and 75 minutes, and finished works are publicly auctioned.

The organization shares information about qualification events, season schedules, points standings, and the national championship final, as well as results and galleries from past competitions. Its website also introduces the sport’s disciplines and techniques through articles, practical tips, and guides for newcomers and enthusiasts. Visitors can explore examples of sculptures, learn about the artists, and find information about the association, its rules, team, sponsors, and ways to provide support. The Meisterschaft also offers artist placement and highlights destinations and events connected with chainsaw carving, helping audiences discover the craft beyond the competition arena.
