Spence Counseling Center

Spence Counseling Center is a faith-based mental health provider founded in June 1991 by Carl Spence after 25 years as a pastor. Serving people across life’s challenges, the center aims to help individuals find healing, build emotional strength, and change patterns that harm relationships. Its care combines clinical approaches with a compassionate, Christian perspective, while respecting clients’ individual beliefs and needs.

Services support individuals, couples, and families and include one-on-one counseling, couples and family therapy, therapist-led groups, mental health assessments and consultations, psychiatric medication management, and secure online counseling. The center’s clinicians use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other therapeutic methods to address concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and life stressors. Care is available for children, young people, adults, couples, and families.

Spence Counseling Center has locations serving Omaha, Nebraska; Lawrence, Kansas; and Council Bluffs, Iowa. It also provides appointment booking, client forms, frequently asked questions, and educational articles on mental health and faith.
