Spencer Women’s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to empowering women and girls to build careers in the skilled trades, particularly in green construction. The foundation aims to help participants gain practical skills, find community, and strengthen their financial security through education, training, scholarships, and support. Its work promotes opportunities for women to build, create, and thrive in the construction industry.
The foundation offers scholarship applications and information about training pathways, alongside mentoring and community support. It also promotes introductory construction courses designed to help women explore opportunities for well-paying jobs in the trades. One featured program is a bootcamp offered with Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, North Carolina, scheduled from August 17 to October 29, 2026.
Visitors can learn about the foundation’s mission, projects, history, news, and events, or get involved by volunteering, donating, applying for a scholarship, or joining an event. The organization also shares educational updates and invites supporters to sign up for monthly news.
