Stichting Paardrijden Gehandicapten IJsselmuiden (SPGIJ) is a nonprofit organization in IJsselmuiden, the Netherlands, offering inclusive activities with horses for people with physical, intellectual, visual, or multiple disabilities. Its aim is to make participation accessible, supportive, and enjoyable, with volunteers and professional guidance helping each person take part in a way that suits their abilities and interests.

SPGIJ provides adapted horse riding, where riders can build confidence and enjoy the sport with additional support and practical adjustments. Its adapted carriage driving service uses a specially equipped marathon carriage that accommodates a wheelchair, allowing participants to drive or ride alongside a horse. For people unable to sit independently on a horse, huifbed riding offers a relaxing experience on a comfortable bed suspended between two horses; the horses’ gentle movement can stimulate the senses and muscles. The organization also offers day activities at its riding centre, including feeding horses and caring for their stalls, with tasks tailored to participants.
