Sphyr Systems is a Paris-based company, operating as Rubicon SAS, that develops UAV-borne technology for countering denial in contested electromagnetic environments. Its mission is to help restore freedom of action by identifying sources of interference that disrupt communications and other critical capabilities. The company’s first product, Lykos, is a compact payload designed to detect and locate communications jammers. Rather than relying on signal strength alone, it uses onboard AI to recognize subtle signatures in the radio spectrum and estimate a jammer’s location from several kilometres away. Detection and processing take place on the aircraft, providing operators with actionable location information in real time.

Lykos is receive-only and does not transmit, helping avoid adding an electronic signature. It is designed for FPV drones and larger multicopters, with a replaceable 3D-printed antenna, software-defined radio technology, edge AI computing, and filtering and shielding to protect its receiver. Built using commercial off-the-shelf components and 3D printing, the payload is intended for affordable operational use.
