Päiväkoti Spielhaus is a small, welcoming private daycare near the centre of Kerava, Finland, operated by Keravan saksalainen päiväkoti ry. It has served local families for almost 30 years, offering early childhood education shaped by German language and culture while welcoming children regardless of whether they speak German at home. The programme uses German in everyday activities, including play, songs and celebrations, and embraces both Finnish and German traditions.

Families can also choose a language-immersion arrangement in which a designated caregiver speaks Finnish with the child while group activities continue in German. Finnish- and English-speaking staff help children and parents feel at ease, and the daycare emphasizes a homelike, community-oriented environment with qualified personnel and volunteer support in each group. Spielhaus accepts applications for children aged nine months to six years, and families are encouraged to arrange a visit and ask about current places.

Fees can be covered in part through Kerava’s early childhood education service voucher, with a separate specialization charge. The daycare also invites community support through fundraising
