Spindrift Fishing Charters is a Key West fishing company founded in 1975, offering guided trips shaped by decades of local experience. Its captains include RT Trosset, a highly regarded angler whose career has produced 239 IGFA world records. His honors include the IGFA Lifetime Achievement Award and the Tommy Gifford Award for Legendary Captains & Crew.
The company customizes fishing excursions to suit different interests and conditions, from offshore trips aboard a 39-foot Yellowfin to shallow-water fishing in a 24-foot Yellowfin Bay boat. Captains prepare early and catch fresh bait, using modern fishing electronics and premium conventional and fly-fishing equipment from brands including Van Staal, Penn, and Fin-Nor.
Spindrift aims to give guests an engaging Key West fishing adventure, supported by experienced guides, boats, and gear. In addition to fishing charters, it offers limited hunting opportunities at Gator Key Farms in DeSoto County, Florida. Trips and hunting information can be requested through the company directly.
