About Spitex Schweiz
The SPITEX Verband Kanton Bern serves as the umbrella organization for 43 independent nonprofit home care services in the Canton of Bern. Dedicated to promoting high-quality home healthcare, the association advocates for the interests of its members in dialogues with local government and in public policy. With a mission grounded in the principles of accessible and supportive care, SPITEX offers a diverse range of services including health care, nursing, and assistance for individuals requiring support in their daily lives.
In 2023, the organization facilitated approximately 3.7 million care services, thanks to around 5,000 dedicated staff members serving over 36,500 clients annually. SPITEX is committed to fostering professional development through various training options for those aspiring to join the nursing field.
