Spitz is a popular breed of small dogs known for their distinct characteristics, playful nature, and charming looks. Originally bred in Germany, the breed has several names including Pomeranian, Dwarf Spitz, or Lulu. Their compact size, standing at 22 to 30 cm tall and weighing between 1.4 to 3 kg, makes them well-suited for urban living, where they thrive as affectionate companions.

These lively dogs are known for their intelligence, easily mastering commands by just 5 months of age. Their friendly demeanor and love for attention make them perfect for families, particularly those with children aged 5 and older, though they require careful supervision around younger kids. Spitz dogs appreciate active play and social interaction, and they are known to develop strong bonds with their owners.

Besides their engaging personality, proper grooming and training are essential. With a life expectancy of 12 to 17 years, dogs of this breed are not only delightful companions but also loyal guardians, making them a cherished addition to any household.
