SpLinter Group

SpLinter Group is a member-led project supporting young adults with learning differences in Northumberland and the surrounding area. Its purpose is to help neurodivergent young adults live independently in their communities and make the most of life on their own terms. Members shape and run the group’s activities, projects and campaigns, with support from assistants and volunteers, and work with other organisations to broaden the support available.

The group offers regular activities and meet-ups, social events, courses and special projects. Its Point A Info Hub brings together practical information on topics including independent living, money and benefits, health and wellbeing, understanding yourself, work and training, and transport. The organisation also provides Safe Places information and runs drop-in sessions for information and support. Members can take part in groups such as SpLinter Sisters and contribute to SpLinterZine, which shares news and updates about events. Through its calendar, information resources and community partnerships, SpLinter Group provides opportunities to connect, build knowledge and develop greater independence.
