Sporenvenn

Spør en venn is a Norwegian initiative offering talks and an online information service about substance use and related challenges. Its presentations are led by a man with lived experience of substance use and his father, who share a personal story of setbacks, progress and lessons learned. The aim is to create space for important questions from people affected by substance-related issues in everyday life.

The initiative is developing a web portal where questions raised during talks will be recorded and answered online, including through video, so that others can find the information too. The portal is still under development, and its content will grow from real questions and answers gathered at presentations.

Spør en venn is intended for a broad audience, including young people, parents, other family members, adults and professionals working with substance-use issues. The team invites companies, municipalities, schools, nonprofit organizations and others to host a talk. The service is offered on a nonprofit basis, with hosts asked to cover the organizers’ expenses.
