Sportfreunde Fischerhude e. V. is a volunteer-run association focused on making Fischerhude more attractive and supporting the local community.
Its main activity is organizing sporting events for people of all ages and abilities, using the proceeds to help bring regional projects for young and older residents to life. The association’s featured event is its annual Sommerlauf, offering a 1-kilometre children’s race, 5- and 10-kilometre runs, and a 2 x 5-kilometre relay for friends, families, and colleagues. The 5- and 10-kilometre routes use an officially measured 5-kilometre loop, and walkers can register through the 5-kilometre option.
The event also includes refreshments, changing and shower facilities, parking, music, and an after-run gathering with grilled food and drinks. Beyond the Sommerlauf, the association plans community projects, including a padel court at the sports park. Sportfreunde Fischerhude welcomes feedback and suggestions and invites people to get in touch through its website
