About Centre for Sport & Human Rights
The Centre for Sport & Human Rights is a renowned human rights organization that operates within the world of sport. With a strategic plan outlined in Convergence 2025, we are committed to promoting a world of sport that fully respects and advocates for human rights. Our mission revolves around generating awareness, building capacity, and delivering impact.
We uphold and promote the Sporting Chance Principles, engaging with those affected and strengthening accountability through collective action. Our focus areas include preventing human rights violations linked to sport, ensuring effective remedy for those who experience abuses, and harnessing opportunities to promote human rights in sport. Led by our founding Patron, Mary Robinson, and supported by a dedicated team and Advisory Council, we work tirelessly to align sport with the principles of human rights.
We are funded through donations from our Advisory Council as well as governments, foundations, sports bodies, and companies. Explore our website to learn more about our history, activities, and opportunities to get involved. Together, we can make a positive impact on the intersection of sport and human rights
