Sportschützen Sythen e.V. is a community shooting sports club in Sythen, Haltern am See, founded in 1960. With more than 80 members across age groups, the club welcomes newcomers and offers recreational and competitive sport alongside a sociable, tradition-minded community. Its activities focus on air rifle and air pistol disciplines, including standing and supported shooting. Members can also take part in small-calibre competitions at ranges outside Haltern, with club firearms and equipment available for use.
The club supports participation at different levels, from informal practice to competitions ranging from local leagues to state and national events. Experienced members and licensed instructors supervise training. A modern digital shooting system records shots and displays results, which participants can save through an app. The club also offers digital laser shooting for younger participants, allowing children below the usual minimum age for ammunition-based shooting to try the sport under supervision.
Regular adult and youth training sessions are held during the week.
