Sportvisserij Castricum is a fishing association serving anglers in Castricum and surrounding communities. Formed in 2023 through the merger of five clubs, it brings together local groups representing freshwater fishing, sea and beach angling, boat fishing and fly fishing. The association organizes a varied calendar of competitions and activities, including sea-bass and beach matches, whitefish and perch events, predator-fishing competitions, boat outings and sessions for anglers aged 55 and over.
Its website shares schedules, results, competition reports, news and information about membership, club facilities and local fishing waters. Members and visitors can also find details about the association’s board and committees, rules, contact information and notable catches. Through its fly-fishing section, the club promotes the sport, fly tying and information evenings with guest speakers.
The association also hosts gatherings at its clubhouse and supports fishing events across its affiliated departments, including Limmen, Akersloot, Castricum and the sea-fishing group. With activities for different ages, interests and fishing styles, Sportvisserij Castricum provides opportunities for anglers to take part, compete and connect with the local fishing community
