SPOSA POPRAD-TATRY

SPOSA POPRAD-TATRY is a parent-led, nonprofit civic association in Poprad, Slovakia, dedicated to supporting people on the autism spectrum and representing the interests of children, young people, and adults with autism. It has been part of Slovakia’s wider SPOSA network since October 2020. The association’s mission is to improve comprehensive care for people with autism spectrum disorders, including those with additional disabilities, and to promote their inclusion in society.

Its work combines information, guidance, education, and community activities. The organization provides autism assessment services, introduced in 2024 using established diagnostic tools, and offers counseling on topics such as education, communication, personal assistance, and support for people with disabilities. It also shares studies and publications, practical educational strategies, and information about autism and rights. Families and the wider community can take part in workshops, creative activities, camps, and meetings that bring together people with autism, relatives, professionals, and the public. Through events, talks, and media projects, SPOSA POPRAD-TATRY encourages greater understanding of autistic experiences and helps build connections and opportunities for participation.
