Spotted Hen DIY is a creative workshop business founded by Kristina Hickel, offering hands-on activities that help people make personalized décor and enjoy time together. Its sign-painting workshops are held at local venues and wineries, with supplies provided for a guided, two-hour project. Participants can choose from a range of paint colors and receive help from the instructor as they create a one-of-a-kind piece.
The business also offers private gatherings, including bridal showers, girls’ nights, and birthday celebrations. Hosts choose a project, invite their guests, and Spotted Hen DIY brings the materials and setup; food and drinks are optional. Team-building events are available as well, giving groups a chance to create something to take home while sharing a relaxed, collaborative experience. Workshop projects may include signs, charcuterie boards, or mason jar boxes, depending on the event. Some sessions offer seasonal extra projects for purchase. Spotted Hen DIY presents crafting as an approachable, social experience, welcoming participants who may be new to making signs and providing step-by-step guidance throughout.
