The Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Planificación (Puerto Rican Society of Planning) is a non-profit corporation founded on November 23, 1954, and registered under the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico since 1956. With the aim of promoting planning as a fundamental process in decision-making for the country's development and strengthening the role of planners in matters related to improving the quality of life on the island.

At Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Planificación, we offer a range of services and resources to support our mission. Our members have access to educational courses and continuous learning opportunities to enhance their professional skills. We also provide information and resources related to planning regulations and laws, as well as ethical guidelines. Additionally, we organize various activities, conferences, and public events to foster dialogue and engagement within the planning community.

With a rich history spanning over six decades, we have been at the forefront of shaping Puerto Rico's planning landscape. Through partnerships with the University of Puerto Rico and the Inter-American Society of Planning, we have played a pivotal role in driving sustainable development and improving the quality of life on the island.
