Springfield Youth Hockey Association (SYHA) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2001 through a grassroots effort to bring competitive youth hockey to the Springfield, Missouri area. It is a member of Missouri Hockey Inc., the USA Hockey governing body for the region. SYHA supports young players and their families with team programs spanning Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam, and varsity/JV hockey, alongside registration information, season calendars, practice schedules, and team announcements.
The association also shares guidance on safety, including neck-protection requirements, SafeSport, rules, and conduct expectations. Families can find information about apparel and equipment, local rinks, volunteer opportunities, and board contacts through its website. For children beginning their hockey journey or seeking introductory options, SYHA directs families to Brightspeed Ice Park, which offers Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, 8U Mite Hockey, and house league programs.
Through its organized teams, community information, and connections to local hockey resources, SYHA helps youth and families participate in hockey in the Springfield area
