About SOCI
The Société québécoise de la douleur (SQD) is a Quebec-based organization that brings together and mobilizes health professionals to improve the care of people living with chronic pain. Its mission is to support better understanding and relief of chronic pain through collaboration, professional development, and access to reliable information. The SQD provides resources and practical tools for health professionals, including information on scientific advances and innovative approaches to care.
It also offers training, webinars, and other professional events to help members strengthen their expertise, with a calendar listing upcoming activities. The organization shares information about Quebec’s 2021–2026 Action Plan on Chronic Pain and promotes opportunities for professionals to connect and learn. Its annual provincial symposium is organized in collaboration with the CHU de Québec–Université Laval; the fourth edition is scheduled for April 15 and 16, 2027, in Quebec City.
