Squawk is a pilot logbook designed to help aviators record flights, track currency and prepare for audits. It works locally in a browser without requiring an account, and can be used offline. Pilots can optionally create an account to sync their logbook across devices, while retaining control over whether to upload existing records.
Squawk imports data from ForeFlight, flylog. io and compatible CSV files, checking entries before they affect totals and flagging issues such as missing take-offs. Its flight records use a strip-style layout and capture details including routes, crew, aircraft, flight rules and time.
The service calculates night hours using civil twilight along the route and date, and tracks take-offs and landings separately. Currency tools check applicable Transport Canada or FAA rules, including recency, renewals, training, type ratings and proficiency checks. Pilots can view airport activity on a map and generate standard, TCCA booklet or FAA reports.
Logbooks can also be exported as CSV or JSON, providing a portable copy of the data
