About SRC
The Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) is a prestigious brand with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1883. Initially established by a group of thirty Eurasian men, the Club officially came into existence on July 1 of that year. Starting out in a building on Waterloo Street, it quickly grew in prominence and influence.
In 1884, a Pavilion was constructed on the Club's allocated site at the iconic Padang. Symbolizing the values of sportsmanship and brotherhood, the Club adopted navy blue and red as its corporate colors. Over the years, the Club expanded its facilities, with the construction of a Clubhouse in 1905 and the addition of two wings in 1931.
Today, the Club continues its tradition of promoting sports, recreation, and social activities through a dynamic calendar of events. Committed to sporting excellence, SRC actively participates in national sports associations and the Singapore National Olympic Council. With a dedicated management committee and a grand Clubhouse, SRC provides a vibrant and welcoming environment for members to enjoy a wide range of facilities and services
