About Sri Lanka Design Festival
The Sri Lanka Design Festival (SLDF), organized by AOD, is an annual event that celebrates and connects South Asian design with global counterparts. It aims to create impactful global collaborations, all rooted in the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. SLDF 2022 is all about unveiling the identity of a "New Local" - a concept that embraces economic protectionism and the search for new alternatives and identities.
This year's theme, "Panoramically New, Panoramically Local, Design ලෝකයක්," showcases a panoramic view of different creative industries that accelerate localism and sustain globalism. It highlights how these industries intersect, contribute, and define the local identity. At SLDF 2022, you can witness the optimistic realms for the future emerging within our island paradise, Sri Lanka.
