Stichting Justice Initiative, also known as SJI or Pravovaya Initiative, is a Netherlands-based organization working to protect human rights in Russia through legal advocacy and public reporting. Based in Utrecht, it focuses particularly on cases involving women and children and on bringing relevant matters before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). The organization prepares applications and complaints for the Court, and its website provides Russian-language reports, documents, and summaries of ECHR judgments.

Its work addresses issues including violence against women, domestic abuse, so-called “honor” killings in the North Caucasus, torture, enforced disappearances, and the right to family life. SJI also publishes research and reviews of legal and policy measures, including analysis of criminal judgments and international approaches to preventing domestic violence. Its online resources include a database of Caucasus cases and information about cases submitted to the ECHR.
