About – SRS Books
Śivarāma Swami is a prominent spiritual leader and author with roots tracing back to Budapest, Hungary, where he was born in 1949. After his family emigrated to Canada during the 1956 Hungarian revolution, he discovered the teachings of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda in Montreal. Officially initiated as a disciple in 1973, he embraced the renounced order of life by 1979 and has since dedicated over three decades to ISKCON, including a significant role on the Governing Body Commission.
Residing primarily in Hungary, Mahārāja has developed various spiritual projects across Europe and continues to travel extensively for lectures and spiritual guidance. He is renowned for his expertise in Vaiṣṇava literature, authoring nearly 30 books on the subject, including the acclaimed "Kṛṣṇa in Vṛndāvana Series" and a comprehensive nine-volume work on Vṛndāvana's sacred land. Now retired from active management, Śivarāma Swami devotes his life to writing and sharing his teachings through his website and podcasts, enriching the spiritual community worldwide.
