About Singapore Repertory Theatre
Founded in 1993, Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT) is a leading English language theatre producer and presenter in Asia. With a mission to enrich, engage, and entertain audiences, SRT stages theatrical productions and learning programs of the highest calibre. They collaborate with some of the world's best talents to bring original musicals like Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress and critically acclaimed plays such as ART, The Pillowman, and God of Carnage to the stage.
SRT has made significant contributions to the global theatre scene, including being the first Singaporean theatre company on Broadway. They have also co-commissioned renowned works like Peter Brook's Battlefield. In addition to their international collaborations, SRT produces the highly successful Shakespeare in the Park season and is one of the biggest producers of children's theatre in Southeast Asia.
They also have a strong commitment to the local community through their Learning & Engagement program, benefiting thousands of students, teachers, and children. Supported by the National Arts Council, SRT sets itself apart with its values of passion, professionalism, entrepreneurship, and care. They are committed to creating a more sustainable future and invite stakeholders to join them on this journey.
By purchasing tickets, patrons can also contribute to planting mangroves in the region. Located at the KC Arts Centre, SRT is dedicated to minimizing its environmental footprint, from using carbon-neutral electricity to reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable practices in their productions. Overall, SRT is a force in the theatre industry, inspiring, engaging, and entertaining audiences of all ages while making a positive impact on society
