SSAA Port Macquarie

SSAA Port Macquarie is the Port Macquarie Branch of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia, serving the local shooting community through sporting activities, training and safety education. The club’s range supports target shooting at 25, 50 and 100 metres across disciplines including bench-rest, hunting target, small-bore, centrefire and military shooting. Members also organise friendly trap and skeet sessions, while the club provides opportunities for firearm collecting and hunting-related activities.

Training and support are central to the branch’s services. Offerings include firearms safety courses, guidance on obtaining an NSW restricted licence, range officer safety training, and Port Macquarie Hastings deer-culling accreditation. The club also provides advice and can arrange customised group activities. Its website shares competition calendars, results, range rules, safety information and resources for prospective members and shooters. Information for farmers and a Farmer Assist service are also featured, alongside links to NSW firearms regulations, police firearms services and relevant local agencies. Through its sporting disciplines, education and practical resources, SSAA Port Macquarie supports safe, informed participation in shooting.
