SSV Meier is the professional practice of Michael Meier, an officially recognised expert in shooting ranges serving much of western North Rhine-Westphalia. Combining specialist training with practical experience, Meier provides technical safety inspections, expert reports and guidance for shooting range operators, clubs and authorities.

Services include inspections under Section 27a of Germany’s Weapons Act for firearm, airgun, bird-shooting and crossbow ranges, as well as mobile shooting-gallery stalls. The practice also assesses fixed and temporary bird-shooting facilities and proposed event locations, and evaluates sites for livestock slaughter or game removal using firearms. For range construction, renovation and modernisation, SSV Meier offers planning support and accompanies projects through inspection and acceptance.

Reports are prepared digitally, with a draft usually sent within a week of the on-site visit. Drone-assisted visual inspections can help document hard-to-reach areas when local conditions and regulations permit. Meier also provides specialist talks for clubs, operators and interested groups. His credentials include training through the Federal Police Academy and DEVA, and membership in the BVSSV.
