SSVP Portugal, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, is a Christian charitable organisation whose mission is grounded in service, faith and solidarity. Inspired by Christ’s example of loving and serving everyone, especially people experiencing poverty, it encourages members to express their beliefs through practical action and personal contact. Its work is organised through a network of Vicentines, conferences and councils across Portugal, alongside links to the international Society.

The organisation supports people in need and promotes the spiritual development and shared service of its members. Its activities and resources include Casa Ozanam, volunteer initiatives, formation and training, and educational support such as the São Pier Giorgio Frassati scholarship for young people pursuing higher education. SSVP Portugal also shares news, prayer materials, guides, forms, statistical and financial reports, and information about its rules and governance. Through events, publications and community engagement, it brings Vicentines together to strengthen their service and offer a practical witness of faith.
