Stables 4 Jed

Stables 4 Jed provides individuals and families in Western Iowa with a welcoming place to experience the healing benefits of horses during difficult times. Its mission is to combine equestrian involvement with traditional therapy, and its vision is that no one has to face hardship alone. The organization offers therapeutic sessions incorporating horses and led by a licensed mental health provider. It is accepting new clients and invites people to learn about therapist Jill and schedule an appointment.

The organization grew from its founders’ experience of losing their four-year-old son, Jed, and finding limited grief support in rural Iowa. Jed’s love of horses inspired the family to draw comfort from their own horses and create a resource for others navigating grief. Completed in November 2025, the facility includes three horse stalls, a tack room, a sand-based arena, a welcome area and office, a bathroom, and a therapy and conference room for multiple people. Stables 4 Jed also welcomes donations and offers merchandise to help support its work.
