About Google Cloud
Google Cloud Observability is Google Cloud’s integrated suite of managed tools for monitoring, logging, and tracing applications and systems on Google Cloud and other environments. It helps IT operations, SRE, and DevOps teams understand service health, troubleshoot problems, and improve performance across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure.
Cloud Logging collects and analyzes application, platform, audit, and custom logs, with Log Analytics adding BigQuery-powered analysis. Cloud Monitoring gathers metrics, events, and metadata from Google Cloud services, uptime checks, application instrumentation, and other sources. Teams can explore data in dashboards and set alerts for issues such as unexpected metric changes or failed health checks. Managed Service for Prometheus provides scalable, Prometheus-compatible monitoring and supports PromQL, while Cloud Trace helps users examine distributed traces and improve application performance.
The suite supports infrastructure and application monitoring, SLOs, alerting, and troubleshooting, including workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine. Google also provides product documentation, quickstarts, tutorials, hands-on labs, architecture guidance, and customer case studies to help organizations adopt and use its observability tools.
