Stadtguthaben GmbH

Stadtguthaben provides a digital voucher system designed to keep spending within cities and strengthen local retailers, restaurants, service providers, and other businesses. Its platform helps municipalities, city marketing organizations, business associations, and local partnerships introduce and operate gift vouchers for their communities. Vouchers can be issued as cards and managed through QR codes or numeric codes, with balances loaded and redeemed using a checkout app or website. Optional voucher websites let customers find participating businesses, check balances, and purchase or top up vouchers online using PayPal or credit cards.

The system also supports employer-funded local benefits, including monthly tax-exempt non-cash allowances, and offers real-time transaction reporting, administration, settlement, and payout tools. Stadtguthaben can handle management and reconciliation on behalf of operators if requested. Beyond conventional city gift cards, its platform can support programs such as education, mobility, tourism, events, culture, family, social support, and climate incentives. Setup and fixed monthly fees are not charged; costs consist of transaction-based fees.
