Stadttaubeninitiative Minden e.V. is a dedicated organization focused on the welfare and understanding of urban pigeons, particularly the common city pigeon, or Stadttaube. Their mission encompasses educating the public about the origins and issues related to these birds, combating prejudices, and promoting humane treatment. The initiative plays an essential role by facilitating the establishment of pigeon lofts and providing support for those interested in caring for these birds.

In addition to advocacy and public education, the organization offers various services, including the exchange of eggs, which helps manage populations humanely. They also address urgent health concerns, such as PMV, a deadly disease affecting pigeons. With a commitment to fostering a better relationship between humans and pigeons, the Stadttaubeninitiative Minden e.V. encourages community involvement, presents information on upcoming events, and invites supporters to contribute to their cause. This initiative promises to be a valuable resource for both bird enthusiasts and those seeking to learn more about urban wildlife.
