Stammeforeningen

Stammeforeningen is a Danish association offering a welcoming community for people who stammer and their families. Its work is grounded in patience, inclusion and respect for each person’s choices about how to manage their speech. The association helps people connect with others who share similar experiences and provides information and guidance, including direction to further help when requested.

Members and visitors can take part in activities such as gatherings, local branch events and meetups for young people, as well as gaming and other opportunities to build friendships. The website also offers educational resources about stammering and cluttering, personal stories, podcasts and information for parents and other relatives. For professionals, it provides material for speech-language therapists, educators and teachers, and highlights relevant training and courses.

Stammeforeningen shares knowledge to improve public understanding of stammering and advocates for acceptance of different ways of speaking. Its projects, including the video series “Sammen om Stammen … og løbsk tale,” bring forward the experiences and perspectives of people living with stammering.
