Standing Voice

Standing Voice is an international human rights charity working to promote the rights, health, well-being, and inclusion of people with albinism in Africa. Based in Tanzania, Malawi, and the UK, the organisation partners with communities to address discrimination, exclusion, and violence, including abuse linked to witchcraft beliefs. Its mission is to help people with albinism live safely and with dignity, equality, and opportunity.

Standing Voice delivers programmes in skin cancer prevention, vision care, education, livelihoods, welfare support, and advocacy. Its health initiatives build clinical networks to prevent skin cancer and support people with low vision. Education work helps children re-enter inclusive schools, while welfare services include trauma-informed care for survivors of violence. The organisation also supports livelihoods, strengthens community networks, and amplifies the voices of people with albinism through stories, news, and resources. Alongside direct programmes, Standing Voice advances advocacy to uphold rights and challenge stigma. It invites the public to support its work through donations, fundraising, and engagement with its updates and stories.
