Stand-up Bike Adventures is an enthusiast-run website dedicated to stand-up bikes, or SUBs, and the experiences, equipment, and ideas surrounding them. Inspired by seeing ElliptiGO long-stride bikes on the American River Parkway in 2018, the site’s creators took a test ride, became fans, and built a small collection of different SUB models. They share what led them to switch from conventional bicycles and why others might consider doing the same.
The site offers information and rundowns of stand-up bikes, including electric SUB varieties, alongside personal accounts of rides and adventures. It also features favorite gear, videos, and a blog covering topics related to SUBs. One highlighted project is a do-it-yourself electric conversion, presented as a possible urban commuting and last-mile transportation option. Stand-up Bike Adventures is a resource for people curious about these distinctive bikes, whether they are exploring models, considering an electric setup, or looking for inspiration and practical insights from fellow riders. Its central message is an invitation to discover new places and enjoy the ride.
