Star is a brand that offers a unique and exciting experience for kids to learn about hot air balloons. With their youth balloon camp, Star allows children to get up close and personal with hot air balloons and learn about the science behind them. Led by professional pilots Mike and Colleen Johnson, the camp provides lessons and demonstrations that give kids a comprehensive understanding of how hot air balloons work.
During the camp, participants not only learn about the history and invention of hot air balloons, but they also get hands-on experience operating a balloon's burner. The Johnsons believe that by capturing the imagination of children through the beauty of hot air balloons, they can effectively educate them about the subject in a fun and interactive way. The overwhelming success and interest in the youth balloon camp have convinced Star that it should become a permanent part of the Old West Balloon Fest.
By offering this camp every year, Star is dedicated to sharing their love of ballooning and giving back to the community
