The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is a 45,000-square-foot air and space museum in Concord, New Hampshire, dedicated to the state’s space pioneers Christa McAuliffe and Alan Shepard. Located in Northern New England, it inspires curiosity about astronomy, aviation, Earth, and space science through indoor and outdoor exhibits, interactive learning, and public programs. Visitors can explore an observatory, see a vintage 1956 Crusader jet, and enjoy an outdoor Science Playground.

The center’s planetarium features a 10K projection system and presents shows for a range of audiences, including educator-led explorations of the night sky and immersive journeys through the Milky Way and Earth’s ecosystems. Its educational services include STEM summer camps, school visits, curriculum-aligned learning opportunities, and outreach programs delivered at schools and other locations. The center also hosts special events, demonstrations, and community programming, and offers membership options.

For private and public gatherings, its facility rental spaces are available seven days a week, including for events held before or after regular visiting hours
