Starmourn

Starmourn is a free-to-play science-fiction MUD set in an original post-Earth universe, where alien races unite against the threat of the Ishvana. Launched in December 2018, the volunteer-run game is playable in a browser or on mobile and invites players to explore the sector, develop a character, and shape a personal legacy. Players can choose from 14 races, five distinct classes, and three joinable factions.

Each class offers its own skills and approach to combat, from piloting a configurable mech suit or commanding combat bots to wielding nanites or fighting as a gunslinging Scoundrel. Starmourn also features a unique wetwiring system that handles healing without curatives or potions, alongside hacking gameplay in which players enter computer grids as viruses to overcome security and uncover passwords. Starship owners can build and customize ships, explore space, and engage in combat, while mining, refining, and manufacturing offer ways to participate in the sector’s economy
