Star Security Training, a division of Star Security Group Corporation, is a Brooklyn-based school providing New York State security guard and fire guard training. Established in 2009, the organization reports having trained more than 100,000 students. Its instructors include retired New York City police officers, and its programs are approved by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and the New York State Department of Labor.

Courses include the required 8-hour Pre-Assignment course for new guards, 16-hour On-the-Job Training, and 8-hour Annual In-Service training for registered guards. The school also offers preparation for FDNY Fire Guard certificates F-01, F-02, F-03, and F-04, with online and in-person options. Fast Track and Gold packages combine core training, while license application assistance is available.

Classes run Monday through Saturday at the school’s 1891 Fulton Street location, with walk-ins welcome and no appointment required. Students can enroll online, access certificates through a student portal, and use the school’s job-search support and recruiting relationships to pursue security work.
