About StarSweep
Project StarSweep is an amateur radio astronomy project focused on observing the 21-centimeter hydrogen line at 1420 MHz. Its Home Base observatory uses a radio telescope tuned to this frequency to collect and display live observation data. The project’s website presents a dashboard for viewing current observations, device configuration, calibration status, and signal-buffer information.
When data is available, users can review previous samples or follow incoming measurements, which are fetched every 30 seconds while the page remains open. Observation details are intended to include the device and session identifiers, location, observation window, frequency, sample rate, bandwidth, gain, and sample count. Calibration records may include an ID, timestamp, frequency, and gain.
The site also provides device photos and links to the project’s GitHub repository. The dashboard indicates that configuration and calibration data may not always be available for the current session. StarSweep offers a window into the project’s observing workflow and the live data associated with its amateur hydrogen-line radio telescope
